Supporting the Movie

About the Machine Man project

What we want to do:
We plan to raise $200,000 to produce the feature film Machine Man. Sounds shocking, right? Well, not really! Not when a good cause and lots of love are behind it all.

How we plan to do it:
This story is about those struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). We're creating a grassroots campaign reaching out to the millions of people who are either affected by OCD or are friends and/or family members of those who struggle with this debilitating psychological disorder. But it doesn't have to stop there. There are many more people who can empathize with this overwhelming struggle and we need their help too! More and more people are diagnosed every day. This is why it's important to bring this disorder into public consciousness by producing a commercial feature film with heart and purpose!

What the money is for:
The process of making a movie, right from developing the story or idea through scriptwriting, shooting, editing and finally releasing it to the audience are included in the process. It takes anything between few months to one or two years to complete the project and it takes a lot of money. All stages of this project from development through production will be paid for via the total funds raised. Plus, this is a narrative feature film, NOT a documentary. It will be acted by professional actors hired throughout the Hollywood community and paying for that 'name' actor's talent will be a significant part of the budget.

(Celebrity casting to be determined by final budget)

Putting a film like this together is a lot of work, but the end result will most certainly worth it. And we can't do it without YOU! Thanks so much for donating to this project! Together we can help those feeling isolated and provide them the reassurance that they are NOT alone. There is hope!

Welcome to Machine Man

This is a user-generated site, meaning we rely on you, your friends, and your family to breathe meaning into OCD and spread understanding of the disorder beyond the usual stereotypes. We’ve created this site to give you the tools and the platform necessary to do that.
